Nudura ICF (insulated concrete forms)

Better insulation builds better homes

When it came to construction it was important to use a technique that allowed us to create dwellings that complemented the style of the old factory buildings that were still in existence on the site.

Nudura ICF (Insulating Concrete Formwork) is reinforced polystyrene forms, connected in a web system and then filled with concrete. Using it we’ve been able to keep the beautiful ‘sawtooth’ pitched roofs and vaulted ceilings synonymous with old factories.

Innovation meets insulation

Old Mustard Mews is a blend of imaginative conversion and stylish modern build. Plots 1 and 2 are ingenious renovations of the existing factory building, exploiting the strengths and character of the original construction but employing the latest technology to offer all modern comforts.

The other plots are constructed by the innovative and robust ICF method, which also offers incredible levels of insulation against weather, noise and damp.

Blocking out the weather, noise and damp

It will also keep you warm in winter and cool in summer, delivering energy savings of up to 70% when compared to traditional timber-framed building methods. But the first thing you’ll notice is that your home is so quiet and peaceful. It will be dry, too, as ICF is proven to be one of the most effective and long-lasting forms of insulation against damp and moisture.
